Secret: Luis (Vow)

 

Rubia has always disliked Maximilian’s sexist brother Luis, ever since he insisted on ordering for his wife at the restaurant. She’s not a child. She is a grownass woman who can order whatever she wants, Rubia fumed to her husband on the ride home.

 

Even though Luis sensed her disdain, he would keep his promise, never disclosing to a soul why it is he orders for his wife any time they’re at a new restaurant together. How it has nothing to do with him wanting to appear a dominant husband and everything to do with the fact that his wife cannot read the menu and this has always embarrassed her.

 

At night, they read picture books together in bed; she sounds out syllables while he rubs her calloused feet.
